Geometries

Virtually any material, including the new super alloy materials, are able to be thread milled with Advent's carbide and carbide tipped thread milling cutters.

Advent utilizes various versions of a sub-micron carbide to ensure high performance and durability. We also utilize different geometries for different materials and their related properties.  Tools listed in our catalog are for general purpose and will normally work well in a variety of materials.  Have Brass?  Let us know.  Have Inconel?  Let us know.  Our Helical tools are all Cam-Ground. This will give you a stronger form for tough to cut materials such as the super alloy steels. Our Straight tools are available in traditional Form or Cam-Ground formats. Other forms include a staggered (E2 or E3) form that reduces side load pressure on the tool during the cut - increasing the tool life - and the success rate.

Coatings

Solid Carbide and Carbide Tipped are available with Titanium Nitride (TiN) and Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) Coatings. Other coatings for specific applications are available upon request. Refer to the catalog for available coatings and contact us for delivery.
